Charter Information & Rates
Chesapeake Bay Sport Fishing operates full-time private charter trips during season.
Trips are available seven days a week based on weather and availability.
2026 Rockfish Season
May 1 – July 31, 2026 and September 1 – December 10, 2026
Rockfish closed in August. Maryland's rockfish (striped bass) season pauses August 1 – August 31 and resumes September 1.
Year-round options: we run charters all year. Crabbing, blue catfish, bow fishing, bottom fishing for white perch and snakeheads, and Bay cruises are available outside rockfish season — including August. Contact us for off-season availability.
Typical windows during rockfish season:
- 6:00 AM - 12:00 PM (or legal catch limit)
- 1:00 PM - 7:00 PM (or legal catch limit)
Typical duration is up to 6 hours or the legal catch limit is reached — a sign of a productive day.
